Podrace First Lap [4K HDR] - Star Wars: The Phantom Menace

One of the goals of the Phantom Menace Extended Edition Supercut is to create the most complete version of the film’s Podrace sequence reasonably possible, including not only the extra scenes that were in the 2001 DVD release, but also the extra deleted scenes that were not restored into the cut. I don’t necessarily think these scenes add as much to the world building as the Episode II and III deleted scenes do, but over the decades many fans have loved the podrace sequence and racing in Star Wars in general, so I think a more complete version of the race is worth creating just for its own sake. A 4K HDR sample from my Extended Star Wars Episode I Cut, simply titled “The Phantom Menace - Extended Edition“. As of today, both cuts have now been updated to a new 2.0 version, featuring several minor tweaks in audio, updates to the HDR color timing (especially for Episode I), tweaks to transitions, and brand new A.I. upscales of many of the deleted scenes. A total of 7 deleted scenes have been restored in the film. Note: The trimmed down version of the duel of the fates battle is only for the youtube upload. The version scene in the film cut itself won’t be intercut in this same way.
