Building explodes in Paris leaving seven critically injured

At least seven people are in a critical condition after a blast occurred earlier on Wednesday in Paris’ Left Bank, according to reports. A police official added that the facade of one building, thought to be the Paris American Academy – a bilingual design school, in Paris’s 5th arrondissement – has fallen onto the street as a result of the explosion, and that many firefighters and members of the police force are at the scene. The blaze in rue Saint-Jacques sent smoke billowing over the domed Pantheon monument and prompted the evacuation of buildings in the neighbourhood, police said. #paris #explosion #news Subscribe to The Telegraph with our special offer: just £1 for 3 months.
