This fabulously rich omelette is named after the British novelist and playwright Arnold Bennett. In the 1930s he was Britain’s most popular and wealthy writer. He liked to travel and whenever Bennett was in London he would stay at the Savoy Hotel. They created this omelette for him and it is still on their menu.
