Non-Linear Evolution of a Magnetised Disc Around a Kerr Black Hole

This movie shows the evolution of a magnetised disc around a highly rotating Kerr black hole (a=), by using two approaches to build the equilibrium torus - Komissarov solution and a generalized version. The equilibrium disc is coupled to a toroidal magnetic field (beta=10^3). The numerical simulation in general relativistic magnetohydrodynamics has been performed using the BHAC code () and the results of this investigation have been published in the scientific journal MNRAS [doi:] (arXiv: [gr-qc] ).
