School Closes SIX Times In Green Scheme Fail | Mike Graham

A primary school in Kent has experienced six closures within a span of three months due to issues with its newly installed £358,000 heat pump system. The green energy initiative, implemented at Kingsnorth Primary in Ashford, Kent, aimed to reduce schools’ carbon footprint. However, persistent faults with the heat pump system have left classrooms without power or heating, leading to multiple closures. On November 30, the school had to close early as both gas and electricity were not working, leaving no provision for pupil meals. Another power failure on December 6 resulted in a full-day closure, followed by additional closures on January 10, 11, and 12.
