Fentanyl killer Luke D’Wit sentenced to 37 years in prison

An IT worker who “completely brainwashed” a married couple before giving them a fatal overdose of fentanyl has been sentenced to life in prison with a minimum term of 37 years for the “sadistic” act of prolonged suffering. Tracy Ayling KC said the murders were on the “cusp” of calling for a whole life order – meaning he would never be released from prison – given the prolonged suffering Carol Baxter, 64, and husband Stephen, 61, experienced.
