For the first time in over half a century, two workhorses of the backbone of the Norfolk & Western reunited in Strasburg, Pennsylvania for five weekends of steam along the Road to Paradise. Ex-Norfolk & Western 4-8-4 “J Class“ #611 and 4-8-0 “M Class“ #475 are both fired up for the occasion, with #475 recently taking on a new 1950’s appearance with a centered headlight after completing its 1472-day inspection. Enjoy the scenes of the two sisters of the past working up through the rolling hills of Lancaster County with their passenger consists in this video brought to you by Blue Comet Productions!
This video was filmed on September 28th and 29th, 2019.
