CU of Grandi and two shot of the Italian and American. Longer two shot as they shake hands. Intertitle reads: “Grandi Greets American People. Italy’s Foreign Minister, in first motion picture message here, lauds Lindbergh as example of US youth.“ Grandi speaks to the cameras on his arrival. He talks about Charles Lindbergh as an example to American young people. (Lindbergh was supposed to fly him to Washington). Grandi arrives, probably in Washington DC and is filmed with Stimson. Stimson welcomes him to the State Department. Grandi replies and thanks Stimson for his work for World peace. N.B. Whatever it says in the book this item does not feature Gandhi.
