Released in the early summer of 2008, a full year after the iPhone hit store shelves, the Touch Diamond represented an industry-wide shift from styli-centric interface design to finger-friendly usability. TouchFLO 3D from HTC made it easy to operate a Windows Mobile device with just a finger. Not only that, but it brought information out of programs and onto your main screen, so that you could easily check the weather, play music, call a contact, and more.
