The Saxon Charm (1948) Synopsis Successful novelist Eric Busch has written his first play and becomes involved with parasitic theatrical producer Matt Saxon. The association nearly ruins his entire life including his marriage. Montgomery gives a good performance in the juicy role of the monstrous producer. John Payne as the writer, Susan Hayward as his wife and Audrey Totter as the producer’s long-suffering girlfriend are also good.
