Nälkämaan laulu (Song of the Hunger Land) Anthem of Kainuu (Finland)

Here are lyrics and an English translation to one of the most popular, if not THE most popular Finnish regional anthem, the anthem of Kainuu - Nälkämaan laulu. Kainuu is a region in what is considered northern Finland (tho it’s actually at the middle basically). This anthem was composed by the legendary Finnish composed Oskar Merikanto and the lyrics were made by Ilmari Kianto, one of the most famous Finnish authors from the early 20th century.
