Sycamore Gap: Iconic tree at Hadrian’s Wall chopped down in apparent act of vandalism

A world famous tree in the north of England has been felled in what police are calling an ’act of vandalism’. The tree, which is located in Sycamore Gap in Northumberland National Park was cleanly felled in what seems to be a professional cut. Sycamore Gap is an iconic place along Hadrian’s Wall, a 2,000-year-old Roman wall which separated Roman Britain from what is now Scotland.
