Trump broken escalator: White House staffer caused malfunction, United Nations claims

During his speech Tuesday from the United Nations General Assembly, President Donald Trump said the UN gave him two things: a malfunctioning escalator and teleprompter. Trump and others in his administration said they wanted an investigation conducted to determine whether this was done on purpose. Mike Waltz, the US Ambassador to the United Nations added that he wanted answers as to why the UNTV feed randomly featured a Portuguese translation over President Trump’s speech midway through. Stéphane Dujarric, the spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General joined LiveNOW from FOX’s Josh Breslow where he said it was a White House staffer that caused the escalator issue and that the White House was operating the teleprompter as well. Dujarric added that the Portuguese translation was an error on the part of United Nations. Subscribe to LiveNOW from FOX!
