Should America Abolish the IRS?

Just days ago, we told you how the IRS had unveiled its plan to spend $80 billion to increase the size of the agency, including 30,000 new employees, with almost 9,000 being new auditors. The new IRS commissioner for the Biden Administration, Danny Werfel, has been sworn in, and despite President Biden’s calls to increase the size of the agency, including armed field agents potentially willing to kill (for tax revenue?), new chief Danny Werfel tried to convince us all that there’s nothing to worry about – we can all take him at his word. Tax collectors with the right to use deadly force? Collecting tax money at gunpoint? That is anti-American. That is a totalitarian intimidation tactic. And it also seems that Werfel chose his words, saying “civil-side” agents wouldn’t be armed. What does that even mean? The internal analysts who never leave their cubicles? Or the actual field agents who will be knocking on taxpayers’ doors? How comfortable would you be with an armed government agent quest
