First of all, THATSECTION is neither a substitute nor a cover band of DISSECTION. It will never be something like that. The fact is that the band DISSECTION was and still is so unique, that no one ever will reach such a level in terms of songwriting and sound. The coldness and power that goes out, especially from “Storm of the light’s bane“ is so remarkable, that it will probably never be reached by any other band. Let’s say this: “Storm of the light’s bane“ is simply THE perfection. No wonder that after all this years since this album has been released, it still stands by it’s own. It has inspired so many people in the metal scene and the legacy still goes on. So consider this project just as a small tribute to the great band DISSECTION and the special music those guys have made back in the 90’s.
