Thank you everyone for watching and for comments! ༺❀༻ All the best. Fritz Thaulow was born in Christiania, Norway in 1847 and died in 1906. He was known as an impressionist who painted naturalist landscape scenes. Born into a wealthy family, Thaulow was schooled at the Copenhagen Academy of Art from the ages of 23 to 25. He returned to Norway after living in Skagen, Denmark for a short period, and became one of the leading figures of the Norweigian art movement and helped establish the “Autumn Exhibit“--the first national art exhibit. His work is easily categorized as impressionist, painterly, and yet naturalistic. He favored rural scenes of small towns and villiages. He moved to Paris at age 45 and died 13 years later.
