Cyclone Tauktae: 26 dead, 49 missing from P305 barge; search ops continue

As many as 26 personnel on board the barge P305 are dead, an official informed. The P305 barge went adrift in the Arabian Sea before Cyclone Tauktae hit Gujarat. The Indian Navy has so far rescued 186 people and 49 people are still missing. The barge P305 sank in the Arabian Sea on Monday, informed the official. Mumbai Police will conduct a probe as to why the ill- fated barge P-305 stayed in the area despite warnings about cyclone Tauktae, the official said. Naval ships and aircraft are presently undertaking Search and Rescue (SAR) operations of the missing crew. Watch the full video for more.
