Blind Test // 90s Techno #2 - Episode 6 (Electronic Beats TV)

This is episode six of our highly popular Telekom Electronic Beats Blind Test Series and the second 90s Techno episode. This time our Illustrious participants are, one of Amsterdam’s finest, Shinedoe, Berghain resident Marcel Dettmann, knowledgable music encyclopedia Benny “ROD” Rodrigues, Berlin techno boyband Fjaak, Chicago veteran DJ Hyperactive and Konsequent label head Maral Salmassi. We dug deep into our record collection again for some 90s underground Techno goodies. So let the game begin, and as always, please try for yourself at home. Please note that this video is not filmed in real time. It’s edited to create some tension so that you in front of the screen can guess as well. It doesn’t say anything about how fast the participants recognised the track etc. All contestants receive one point for both artist and title correct, but only half a point if they can only guess the artist or the title. For many years we never noticed that the track we always had assumed was called “The Punisher”, after closer inspection of the etching on the runout grooves, was actually called “Method Of Force”.
