Stygian Owl in Programme for Belize, Rio Bravo Conservation and Management Area pine savannah

The Stygian Owl was not always considered as occupying lowland savannah habitats. This owl was filmed roosting in a Caribbean Pine tree at about 70 ft. above sea level in the pine savannah about 14 miles NW of the Hill Bank Field Station, Rio Bravo Conservation and Managment Area, Programme for Belize protected area.
