Here is quadriceps muscle soft tissue mobilization or massage technique that can help reduce knee pain and improve knee flexion range of motion.
The four quadriceps muscles include vastus medialis on the inside of the leg, vastus intermedius and rectus femoris in the center of the thigh and vastus lateralis on the outside of the leg.
If you can’t see a practitioner and don’t have a partner to help mobilize these muscles, then a foam roller or other myofascial treatment device can be used.
