OneHorseLife TV: Step by step canter preparation for a young horse
First Canter departures can be really challenging both for riders and for young horses! Speeding up, running away, leaning to the inside in the corners, outside bent... not to mention getting stiff and heavy on the bit, bucking or jumping around! Let us share with you first canter departures with Anna’s young horse Viva la Vida. Viva is a 5yo horse who has been ridden very lightly under the saddle and is still quite green. We are thrilled to be able to support your riding journey with your young (and older!) horses with the video series showing Viva’s progression with Anna. In these short 20-30min videos Anna will be sharing with you her everyday work with Viva and the typical challenges riding a young horse puts in front of the rider. All the Techniques that Anna is using are available for you to learn and profit from them at . This horse was prepared with the help of the Optimal Performance Program and RTRT: Residual Tensions Release Therapy with the Bit. To ride Viva Anna also uses the RIDER’S SEAT Techniques that she collected and put together in Modules of Anna’s Riding Method where step by step (and module by module) she shares the know-how for the stable & independent seat that is fully aligned with the needs of the horse who moves biomechanically correctly. Our goal is a happy, relaxed horse who moves in a healthy and free way, and a healthy and pain free rider who enjoy riding together for a long time.
