Furious Habeck blames Russian gas giant for ’political’ move to reduce German supply via Nord Stream - YouTube

Germany has accused Russian state-controlled gas giant Gazprom of attempting to push up energy prices by sharply reducing supplies. Gazprom said initially on Tuesday it was cutting the Nord Stream 1 gas flow from 167m cubic metres a day to 100m but then on Wednesday announced it would be cut further to 67m cubic metres. The reason it gave was to service equipment in the Nord Stream pipeline. The Nord Stream 1, running under the Baltic Sea, connects Vyborg City in northwestern Russia and Germany. To relax its overload, the Nord Stream 2 was finished in 2021 but has been halted since the beginning of the Russian attack in Ukraine.
