This was a group formed by guitarist Danny Cedrone, who also performed on several of Bill Haley’s Saddlemen and Comets recordings during that period. Supplemented by his popular big band, Ralph Marterie did a very close copy of this Esquire Boys arrangement and sold a million copies of the Juan Tizol-Duke Ellington standard:
