Peter Kernel session pour Foucoupe Théâtre du Raccot, Monthey (VS) Setlist: Mhh (00:17) Boo (03:22) Bzzz (6:18) Pays de Cocagne X Peter Kernel Il y a un peu plus d’un an, Ludovic nous parlait du projet génial qui trainait dans son esprit d’un Peep show (ou Rare show) à l’italienne géant. Petit théâtre en boîte redimensionné à la taille d’humains d’obédience musicale qui jouerait là une partie de leur art. Pitch simple mais suffisant pour nos têtes blondes. Vous connaissez un peu la maison maintenant, dès qu’un brin d’enthousiasme nous transperce et que nous pouvons nous lancer dans un projet qui touche au gigantisme nous sommes plutôt enclins à y aller, fort. L’amour du faire, de nos potes et des étoiles qui parfois emplissent les yeux. Pour ne rien gâcher, le mordant et non-moins talentueux Olivier Lovey se joignait à nous pour compléter une équipe d’Avengers huit-pouces qui demandait tout de même à être coaché par un type qui sait un peu ce qu’il fait. Nous voilà donc dans une cuisine du 19ème avec les géniaux Peter Kernel qui acceptèrent de rallier notre petit bout de pays et de se faire avaler par ce décor un peu fou à quelques jours seulement de la sortie de leur superbe album “Drum To Death”. Il jouèrent donc trois morceaux dans cette installation gargantuesque où la noblesse, une fois n’est pas coutume, se goinfre. Tournée des s/o? Allez ! Merci à nos potes et nos proches pour les innombrables coups de main et les facilités Merci au quartier culturel de Malévoz pour l’accueil et la mise à disposition Merci aux potes de la Fabrik et du Mésoscaphe pour l’atelier improvisé Merci à Christian Berrut et Vincent Abbet pour le rail et les conseils et enfin Merci à l’équipe de Foucoupe pour le son, les lumières, les décors et l’envie ! // Land of Plenty x Peter Kernel Around a year ago, Ludo told us all about the crazy project he had been fomenting in a corner of his mind : he dreamt about making a real-life Italian Peep show (or Raree show) : originally a small theatre put in a box, this one would be resized to a human (preferably musician) scale where they could perform. The pitch may seem ordinary but you know us by now – the smallest glimpse of enthusiasm or the perspective to be part of something huge and we jump right in. Always running towards the love of making something, being with our mates or filling our eyes with stars. As if that wasn’t enough, the grumpy yet incredibly talented Olivier Lovey decided to join our team of good-for-nothings, that in fact had been longing for a coach that knew more or less what he was doing. There we were then, in a 19th-century kitchen with the fantastic Peter Kernel, who agreed to cross the country to be swallowed by this eccentric theatre set, just a few days away from their new album release (“Drum to Death“). They played three tracks in this gargantuan installation where the nobles, once is no custom, feast to death.
