Music by the Belgian composer, Lekeu (1870 to 1894), performed by the Camerata String Quartet on the Ricercar label (RIS 107099). This piece was composed in 1887. Lekeu studied with César Franck and Vincent D’Indy and composed around 50 pieces of music during his short life. He died at the age of 24 from typhoid.
