Leela Chess Zero’s Pawn Storm

Featured is a game between Leela Chess Zero (.445) and Critter ( 64bit) from 2018. In a Benoni structure, Leela opts for Be2 before developing the king knight. This allows LCZero to implement a kingside pawn storm that will significantly cramp almost every one of Critter’s pieces. Nearly half of all moves by LCZero are with pawns, forcing Critter’s resignation after only 43 moves. I’m a self-taught National Master in chess out of Pennsylvania, USA who was introduced to the game by my father in 1988 at the age of 8. The purpose of this channel is to share my knowledge of chess to help others improve their game. I enjoy continuing to improve my understanding of this great game, albeit slowly.
