GWU PCS Culture Show 2011 -- Dugso

The George Washington University Philippine Cultural Society TANDAAN XI: NEVER FORGOTTEN April 23, 2011 Dugso is a ceremonial dance from the Talaandig women of Bukidnon. The dancers create rhythms accented by their anklets while moving around a ceremonial fire. The smoke from the fire carries prayers and messages of thanksgiving to the gods. The headress is worn in respect of the mythical papagayok bird. Taught by Don Verde Inspired by the Bayanihan Dance Company
