It’s time to pay tribute to one of the best and most technologically advanced games for Sega Mega Drive - Vectorman. Unofficially, Vectorman is considered the answer to Nintendo / Rare’s Donkey Kong Country, sporting cutting edge graphics and pre-rendered 3D models and sprites. When promoting Donkey Kong Country, it was argued that this would not be possible on Sega’s Mega Drive. So, Vectorman is a vivid proof of the erroneousness of this statement, in contrast to Sonic 3D Blast, where 3D graphics are far from ideal. Everything in this game is surprising, everything is non-standard, starting with the intro. Now no one will say that Sega has few colors or an imperfect sound system. Already at this stage you will be convinced of the opposite, and then you will learn all the “explosive power“ of a 16-bit gaming system.
