Lightning Creates Stunning Light Show in Los Angeles
A spectacular light show electrified the night skies over Southern California Tuesday night. The National Weather Service said that nearly 1,500 pulses of lightning were recorded in just five minutes. The weather service gave tips on what to do in a strong lightning storm. The display caused havoc at Los Angeles International Airport for inbound and outbound flights. The storm has residents bracing for flooding and mudslides in areas that were the scene of last year’s deadly mudslides in Montecito.
