In the Sorata massif, northern Madagascar, scientists discovered a new “nano-chameleon”. The new species was named Brookesia nana and it might be the smallest reptile in the world. The male holotype has a snout-vent length of 13.5 mm (total length 21.6 mm), making it apparently the smallest mature male amniote ever recorded.
