Argil. VR Sculpting using Finger Tracking. SideQuest Trailer

Inspired by real sculpting, Argil is an intuitive VR space that enables quick and fun creation of organic 3D objects using your hands and fingers. It offers various easy-to-use tools that feel like manipulating real clay in your own hands (although with no haptics yet). We tried to create a hand-tracking app that would be not just fun but useful! This is a perfect tool for beginners, 3D-designers, kids, developers, and everyone interested in the natural VR control. The sculpting tools are: push, pull, carve, smooth, add different frequency noise, add/remove resolution, free-draw a mesh in 3D. Other features include: change colour, material, add different objects (cube, cuboid, sphere, sheet) to the scene, change environment. Possibilities include exporting OBJ for 3D-printing or for incorporating them in any other 3D environments. This is a demo of a future VR sculpting experience, that would include both hand tracking and controller support. You can upload it via SideQuest on
