Perfect for weekend brunch! Easy strawberry mimosa with strawberry sauce, orange juice and sparkling wine!
RECIPE:
3 to 4 cups strawberries
1/3 cup sugar
2 cups orange juice, chilled
1 bottle sparkling wine, chilled
1. Wash and trim the berries, then puree in a food processor until smooth.
2. Pour the puree into a saucepan and add the sugar. Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Spoon off the foam.
3. Cool the strawberry sauce in the refrigerator. Can be stored for 3 to 4 days.
4. Fill a champagne flute 1/3 with orange juice, add a few tablespoons of strawberry sauce.
5. Top off with sparkling wine slowly! (it will foam). Wait for foam to settle, then top off.
6. Garnish with strawberries and enjoy!
