Romania: Vaccination marathon held in Bucharest as country battles COVID crisis

On Tuesday Romania had recorded a record high of 18,863 new COVID cases and 574 deaths. The surge in infections has led the government to bring in increased restrictions. These include a curfew, mandatory health pass to enter many buildings and closing schools. A vaccination marathon also took place in the National Library of Romania in Bucharest on Saturday.
