Wladyslaw Szpilman created Sopot International Song Festival in 1961

Edwin Rutten “Teddy“ by W. Szpilman-E. Rutten and Akira Fuse “Yes or No“ by W. Szpilman-L. Starski The Idea of International Song Festival in Sopot came from Wladyslaw Szpilman in 1961 and he, as a head of popular music department of Polish Radio, and Szymon Zakrzewski from Polish Artists Agency prepared 1st and 2nd editions of this festival.
