Zwiefache

The Zwiefache is a wonderful Alpine dance where the music involves Walz, Turn, and Polka rhythms, with each tune having its own characteristic story line. The dancers simply dance the music. For learning purposes, it helps to realize that two 2/4 beats take one step, and that 1 3/4 beat takes one step. This is quite natural. Also, when learning, it is easy to simply step on every Oom -- in Oom-pa or in Oom-pa-pa. Then, once we get the rhythm, we can step on all three beats of the Waltz parts. We demonstrate
