- This video was sent to me by Preston Dyches who does education and public outreach for NASA’s Radioisotope Power Systems (RPS) program. Their website is . NASA and the Department of Energy are developing an Advanced Stirling Radioisotope Generator (ASRG) as the next generation power system for exploring extreme environments in the solar system. The RPS program is managed at NASA’s Glenn Research Center (GRC) in Cleveland, OH, where work has been ongoing for at least a decade to develop the Advanced Stirling Converter (ASC) which is at the heart of the ASRG.
