Exhibit B801 - Reel 1 (1951)

Reel 1. A presentation by the Nuffield Organisation. The Dome and the Skylon at the Festival of Britain. Transport Pavilion. Exhibit B801 is an all British MG Special sports car driven by Lieutenant Colonel A.T. Goldie Gardner M.C. The car is brought out of the Pavilion by several engineers. A party - Lieutenant Gardner shows secrets of car to members of the press. C/U shots of the engine, wheels, chassis, dashboard etc. Men perform fine tuning of the engine at MG factory at Abbingdon. Top men at the MG factory are involved in the checking procedure. The hammock type seat is displayed. The body of the car is lowered on to the engine. The “magic midget“ is wheeled into a crate to be packed by Nuffield Exports Ltd. Wheel covers are taken off. C/U of hand with spanners, nuts and bolts. Car and spare parts are secured in crate.
