X3.3 Solar Flare (2/9/2024) -

The second strongest solar flare of the current solar cycle, an X3.3 event was observed around AR 3575 at 13:14 UTC (Feb 9). A large coronal mass ejection (CME) should be expected, however because AR 3575 is now located behind the southwest limb, it will be directed away from Earth.
