Heroica Veracruz or just Veracruz (2023, officially Cuatro Veces Heroica Ciudad y Puerto de Veracruz) is the biggest and most important port of Mexico. Veracruz is also Mexico’s oldest and most historic port. The city of Veracruz has approximately 560,000 citizens (including Boca del Río Municipality). Highlights of the city are the PEMEX headquarters, the Cathedral of Veracruz, the San Juan de Ulúa naval complex, the Carranza Lighthouse, the City Hall and off course the Port itself.
