Trevor Paglen: Orbital Reflector / Updated

In collaboration with the Nevada Museum of Art, artist Trevor Paglen will launch the first satellite to exist purely as an artistic gesture. “Orbital Reflector“ will travel to low Earth orbit aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket in the Fall of 2018, and remain there for approximately two months. The diamond-shape balloon satellite will appear as bright as a star in the Big Dipper.
