Full titles read: “Queer Jobs Afloat.“ (new title) “We usually expect to see Sailors, Engineers, Cooks and Stewards on board liners such as the giant “Berengaria“.“ Location of events unknown. L/Ss of a tug moving past a huge liner in dock. On board the liner ’Berengaria’ an old sailor stands with a young boy on deck and says “I am the oldest sailor on this ship“. The young one says “And I am the oldest and smallest fellow, and during my travels round this ship I travel about fifty miles a voyage.“ (I think he means youngest and smallest fellow.) Intertitle reads: “... but there are lots of queer jobs afloat we don’t usually ally with the sea. Chemists, Cinema Operators, Gardeners... and many more.“ M/Ss of a chemist and cinema operator at work on the ship. M/S of a man tending plants. He tells us he is the gardener and has five or six thousand plants on the ship.
