Cloverdale Mall - Grounds to Gardens Celebration Event 2015

Thank you to communities of Cloverdale Mall and Eglinton Square for coming out and supporting our Grounds to Gardens program during Earth Week. Our celebration event was a “Ground Breaking” success! Cloverdale Mall and Eglinton Square are the first shopping centres in Canada to “erase our coffee footprint” by successfully repurposing used coffee grounds into a sustainable potting soil. Collectively, through the distribution of our 18L bags of sustainable potting soil in exchange for a $2 donation, we raised $3, for Evergreen, a national non-profit with a focus on bringing nature back to urban cities. Our sustainable potting soil was also distributed through our 4 hour Drive-up eWaste collection, where we safely recycled and diverted 15,502 lbs of electronic waste from reaching our landfills!
