Here is actin in a neuronal growth cone treated with the actin polymerization inhibitor, cytochalasin B- complete with a washout. Based on the classic experiment by Forscher and colleagues. I have had this data for 15 years. Time to share. This growth cone is at the end of a bag cell neuron-neurite from Aplysia californica (giant sea slug).
