The Two-Legged Dog BEGGING for HELP And the Mysterious Story Behind Subscribe: Meet Joey! Abandoned at an empty house 1.5 years ago. When he saw us, he bent down BEGGING FOR HELP. it’s hard to believe he was able to survive. Especially with only 2 legs. This made walking and getting around extremely difficult. His legs were not amputated and this is not a congenital deformity. This dog has literally been through hell— tortured, dismembered, and then abandoned. Which means…well it’s hard to even imagine. Joey will need surgery for a tumor on his penis as well as custom prosthetics so we can give this boy his legs back. Joey is simply incredible. His mobility is his greatest challenge but as his advocates, we are working to fix that. His foster mom is as good as they get, like one in a million. Though Joey’s physical body will never be the same, his spirit remains completely intact— happy, loving and so damn sweet. His resilience is remarkable. His smile is contagious. He is so very special. Today he will try a mobility aid for the first time. And through the midst of it all, his tail never stopped wagging. Joey is an inspiration and we are so damn proud to be standing behind him on his journey. Go Joey, GO!
