Today we’re remembering Tony Hancock, 50 years on from his death. In this clip Tony is looking for some stage roles in order to bolster his chances of being recognised with an Honour. It shows The Lad at his pompous best, and sees Hancock breaking out of character to acknowledge a clatter elsewhere in the studio.
