Ugress - Exit 44 (work-in-progress) (Livestream Music Video)

Noirtronica experiments with a bit too much dust particles. Work-in-progress for upcoming Retrotopia album, testing out new music and visuals during regular livestreams. This is kind of 1920s modernist dystopian visual futures meeting 1970s matte-fx sci-fi films in the music. There’s then a mismatch between visuals and music in this version... This is because I ran out of time to produce the visuals I intended for this track, and had to use OTHER visuals from another track where the visuals are usable but the music isn’t. There’s also a bit too much dust at times, I just recycled dust particles from another track. It all kind of fits, it’s not TERRIBLE... and its not too far off what my original vision was? Either way, its kind of static at times, but okay, it sets a mood. Was fine to test it like this, valuable. Not so sure about the amount of distorted violin, but its so much fun to play. I was also supposed to play those scifi flute-chords (I love those) on the virtual flute, but something technically broke during rehearsals so dropped it except for the first few bars. This was performed live during episode 31, April 2024. - - - About Ugress - - - Ugress is a cinematronic media art project by Gisle Martens Meyer.
