Flicker films

Extracts from six films with a high flicker content or rapidly changing frames. The first three are abstract flicker films made using super 8 animation. The fourth is found standard 8mm film shot with a 16mm camera and then split, run on an 8mm projector and telecined, and made into split-screen. The fifth film is 8mm footage slipping in the gate of the camera during exposure, and the final film shows a high speed home movie. All the films feature Helliwell’s electronic music made with his Hellitron tone generators.
