Aventon Mataro - Custom Track Bike Build

How I customized Aventon’s 2018 Mataro bike into a track beast. 2018, I set out to build a dedicated track bike for riding at the Hellyer County Park Velodrome in San Jose, California. As I’m new to the world of track cycling, I wasn’t sure if I should spend big money on an expensive frame or go the inexpensive route first. After some extensive research on frames, I decided to buy Aventon’s 2018 Mataro bike. I’ve been a fan of Aventon for a few years and own a 2013 Mataro Low, which is my daily commuter bike. When I got the bike, I love how the new 2018 Mataro frame looks but wasn’t too keen on the paint color. (This frame only comes in White or Midnight Blue.)
