Story featuring a new invention for picnics. Part of the STREAMLANED issue.
Two young women are out taking a country walk. They are carrying walking sticks and knapsacks and are walking with their dog.
The two girls sit down and stick their sticks into the ground. Small metal clamps are attached to the walking sticks which fold out to provide useful holders for cups and plates. The girls have a picnic - complete with tea from a thermos flask - without putting their plates on the ground.
