Alexis And Dorrano (1934)

Titles read: ’NOW FOR Alexis and Dorrano the celebrated ADAGIO DANCERS, in their famous ’Danse Apache’. Probably filmed in Pathe Studio, London. (Gunshot heard over titles.) On a set dressed to look like a seedy tavern, we see temptress Dorrano looking through a wallet (presumably belonging to the man she just shot) and putting the money in her knicker leg with a flamboyant gesture. Her boyfriend (Alexis) sees her and demands the money - she refuses and he starts to throw her around in true apache style. While she is on the ground he throws a knife but we don’t see if it gets her - cut to two tavern diners looking horrified. More rough stuff, with a few torrid dance steps in between. After Alexis has tossed Dorrano about a bit, she knees him in the vitals and he falls to the floor. To serve her right he swings her about by one arm and one leg and lets go so she lands on the floor. A shocked couple who have been watching leave the tavern at this point.
